![]() Samsung has made some nice improvements to its camera app for the Note 7. But I wouldn’t use it for much more than that. It’s great for snapping selfies for Snapchat - if you’re into that kind of thing - or for live-streaming on platforms like Facebook and Periscope. On the front of the Note 7, there’s a 5-megapixel camera with the same f/1.7 aperture. Thanks to insanely fast autofocus, you can home in on your subject in a fraction of a second. You can launch the camera app by double-tapping the home button, and it’s ready in an instant. One of the things I love most about the Note 7’s camera is its speed. And thanks to that wider aperture, even low-light performance is impressive. Every picture you snap will be sharp and beautifully colorful, with great contrast and color accuracy. ![]() In a nutshell, the Note 7 shoots stunning photos and spectacular 4K video. That makes it one of the best smartphone shooters available, with a 12-megapixel sensor, an f/1.7 aperture, phase detection autofocus and optical image stabilization. Samsung still makes stellar camerasĪnother thing the Note 7 has taken from the Galaxy S7 and S7 edge is their cameras. Performance from the Note 7 is exactly what you’d want from a flagship phone. And unless you put it alongside an iPhone, you won’t notice that it’s slightly slower at some things. The stutters certainly aren’t enough to make using the Note 7 any less enjoyable. I’ve also noticed that the Note 7 isn’t quite as quick at loading apps as my iPhone 6s Plus is, but again, I think that’s Android’s fault rather than Samsung’s. I’ve noticed a few stutters here and there, but they are rare, and I’m blaming them on software rather than hardware. Performance is not quite perfect, though. Running two apps simultaneously using Samsung’s excellent multi-window mode is a breeze, and switching between multiple apps while multitasking is just as slick as you would want it to be. Just don't take out the SD card or SIM or change cases anytime soon haha you'll have to do it again.Could you provide us a visual? I'm having a hard time understanding this.Galaxy Note 7 doesn’t mind getting wet. Just don't take out the SD card or SIM or change cases anytime soon haha you'll have to do it again. ![]() ![]() With luck, most (if not all) of your protector will now be under the case's edges and not lifting up. ![]() Remember, push down on the card to flatten the film protector and always keeping the card tucked inside the case to avoid its edges to lift up the protector again. The screen will usually peel off on the corners of the phone, so just grab a corner of the business card, tuck it under the case, between the glass and the plastic (I recommend picking a 'flat' spot to start as it's easier to insert), and while firmly pushing down so it doesn't slip out, start moving the card around all the contour. But there's hope! Try this: a business card! Yup, just make sure it's not too thick or too thin/cheap. With a phone with so little bezel and so much curved glass, it's honestly expected. Then you put on a case, and all your hard work crumbles: the edges begin to lift up and get peeled off. You spend some time getting that screen ready with no debris, aligning the protector, making sure you squeegee out all the bubbles and hold down the curves to keep it from lifting (and if you're like me and you got a wet-install, you leave it to dry overnight). You want to protect it, so you made sure you got a screen protector (thin film as glass ones for curved displays are crap) and a good case to go with it. So you got your spankin' new Note 7 and you're in Heaven. ![]()
